Proclamation of Italian Heritage Month

The Westchester Coalition of Italian American Organizations awarded BHS students Luis Illescas Alvarez (Sophomore), Jack Griffin (Junior) and Luisa Martinez-Lemus (Senior) for their Excellence in the Italian Language at the Proclamation of Italian Heritage Month at Eastchester High School on Monday, October 27th.

That same evening, Giana Kusterer (Senior) and Luisa Martinez-Lemus (Senior) received the Ace Endico Scholarship awarded.

Mr. Franzè remarked: "If the Father of the Italian language, Dante Alighieri, were still alive then he would be just as proud of these students and their dedication to the Italian language as we all are."

Mrs. Horler was gifted the New York City-Italian Heritage & Culture Committee's (NYC-IHCC) official poster for Brewster High School's continuing support and Mr. Franzè and Mrs. Di Marco's role in organizing the event as Vice President and Committee Member of the Westchester Coalition of Italian American Organizations.
